People will be better informed and be able to spread the word to help us push towards full legalization. Knowledge of this potent medicine will open up the flood gates for testing and greater understanding; leading to a great decrease in pharmaceutical dependency and reduced prison populations. And many people will then have access to powerful medicine! Q&A will be provided.

Jeff Conner has only ever wanted to tell jokes and play music, but life got in the way. In 2008, he was hit by a minivan, changing his life's trajectory. This incident that sent him tumbling down rabbit hole after long and arduous rabbit hole of health and wellness information. While stumbling upon many healing modalities, a few of which he still maintains, none inspired him as much as the medicinal value of cannabis and her phytoconstituents. These past few years, he studied at America's first cannabis college, Oaksterdam, and went immediately into consulting. While most of his focus has been around CBD, he is well versed in the full spectrum of the plant's available medicine. Jeff is also studying as a nutritional health coach. His passions are leading him down a very interesting path of the crossover between nutrition, health and cannabis. Currently he is also studying under a master herbalist/ biologist to become a certified cannabis therapist. It is Jeff's goal to broaden my practice by guiding people back into optimal health using microbiome rehabilitation, cannabis and nutrition.

  • Art Activism in Your Community

    Container Stage

12:00 - 1:30 PM Hosted by Cat Palmer

Building Man is honored to welcome Cat Palmer, award winning photographer and art activist based in Salt Lake City. A couple of her projects have gone viral and more importantly still impact her community. Art is therapeutic and a way to give a voice to many. Art is healing. Come learn about her projects and how you can start to use your voice, your art, & your passion to positively affect your community.

Born and raised in Orange County, CA,Cat Palmer developed her insatiable romance with photography at 15 years old, against the backdrop of Los Angeles… a place teeming with racial divides, cultural diversity, and economic inequality. her world view further evolved as she immersed herself in the streets of Mexico, developing a new obsession that would plague her art, forever… woman empowerment.

From 1995-1999, Cat made an academic go of her art and then, traversing the unexpected technological revolution, joined professional digital in 2005. (she has never forgotten where her heart lies, and fully intends to replace the “dark side” with the “dark room,” one day.) regardless of the medium, she has exhibited all over the salt lake valley and has won many awards. cat's most recent project "go home trump" went viral.

Cat has devoted her craft to the expression of meaning through images, and has found a powerful voice in women's empowerment. This focus stems from her deep-seeded belief that femininity and beauty are not physical attributes, but rather attributes of the heart. Her images of confident and hopeful women, surrounded in words of encouragement, begin to reveal the true beauty of a powerful woman. She fights to bring awareness to equality, wage gap, reproductive rights and rape culture.

Her empowerment themes have been: self-esteem, peace, self-reliance, i am human, there’s no place like home, peace to the middle east, age of aesthetics in defying societies definition of beauty, super hero women, 'i have a secret', keep the politicians out of our VAGINA, transgender visibility and a series with an orwellian theme.
